I don't know much about glib's introspection. Can it be used to
*generate* the bindings? i.e. does it have enough information about
functions signatures, types structures, values that been #define 'd,
etc ?
Yes, it covers anything. It's used to generate javascript, python and
perl packages, so emacs lisp is possible too.
