Upgrade to package 1.36. This was fixed several weeks ago.

By the way, was 1.36 released? I see it in CVS, but it is the second
time someone tells me that 1.35 is the latest available ediff
package.
Right. I know that 1.36 fixes the problem: that's what I'm running
now, and I'm no longer affected personally. I was trying to spare
others some inconvenience
The "released" version of ediff (i.e. what you get if you select
xemacs.org or any of its mirrors in the XEmacs package manager) is
still 1.35.
1.36 has, when last I checked this afternoon, only made it as far as
the "Pre-Releases" download site.
Ergo, anyone running 21.1.x who updates their packages from one of the
regular download sites is going to get hosed, at least as far as
ediff's concerned.
That's why I was trying to urge The Powers That Be to move 1.36 into
the "blessed" area, or whatever it's called, to nip that problem in
the bud. If I used the wrong address/bug-submission mechanism for
that, I apologize.
(BTW, thanks for ediff. The only thing more fun than using it is
showing it off to friends and co-workers who haven't experienced it
yet, and watching them get that wide-eyed where-has-this-tool-been-
all-my-life look on their faces.)
