[Bug: 21.4.15] fontifying region...(wrong-type-argument markerp nil)

You're using a version of XEmacs that is 3.5 years old and 5 releases
behind the current one. The bug probably has been fixed; please
upgrade and see if that helps. If not you'd have to upgrade anyway;
we don't release patches against old patchlevels.
