I doubt it, I read Nickolay's message but I don't understand this
stuff, so I tagged it but didn't reply. However, Steve Youngs sent me
a thread from ding where they've been messing with coding in pop3.el
(presumably in Oort). My suspicion is that related breakage is why
they're playing with coding in that file.
Make sure the coding of all process buffers is absolutely positively
binary.
