I thought this was supposed to be fixed a long, long time ago (about 3
years by now). It's possible you have a very old version of EFS, in
which case _manually_ fetching the EFS package from
ftp://ftp.xemacs.org/pub/xemacs/packages/efs-$VERSION-pkg.tar.gz
and untarring it in the xemacs-packages hierarchy should do the trick.
Another annoyance is that efs 1.32 which is officially released for 21.4 does
not know about the Extended Passive Mode message of ProFTPD (used at
ftp.xemacs.org and other sites). Then users always have the lower half of their
frame taken up by the *Warnings* buffer. It makes a bad impression...
Upgrading to efs 1.33 from Pre-Releases helped; no warning window any more.
IMHO, efs 1.33 should be moved from pre-releases to officially released just for
that reason.
Cheers,
Joachim
