There's already an awk-mode.el in prog-modes, it would be a good idea to

Note that awk-mode is derived from (and depends upon) cc-mode; if the
cc-mode developer is willing to subsume that functionality into the
cc-mode package, we should just remove the separate awk-mode.el from
prog-modes.
