I've been using Gcc 2.8 for some time without problem -- that's
Solaris 2.6.
Note that XEmacs will not compile on a patched-up Solaris 2.5.1
because Dynodump doesn't build there. That problem is not specific to
Gcc, though.
What do you mean by "patched-up" in this context?
