Actually, the grey background with the "fontifying" message appears in
the right frame but without the gauge+stop widget in it, and the
gauche+stop appears in the wrong frame. It dissapears only when I
move another window on top of it (retrace event, I suppose).
Nor the vc-hooks problem. Good luck.
