Also, the HPUX Porting Centre's version of XEmacs 21.1.14 is known to be misconfigured in a number of ways. Crashes in that port should be reported to them (straightening out the configuration might avoid some crashes which are due to uninitialized values), but experience suggests nothing will be done about it.
