Yes. I've observed this too, I don't know why it's happening, I don't
know how to reproduce. I mistook it for a side-effect of my
environment which is not "vanilla" right now because I'm working on
bugs in latin-unity.

Thank you for the confirmation.
Also, thank you for the backtrace on the "recode" functions. It made
it easy to find a stupid typo on my part. There will be a fix in CVS
shortly, and should propagate to distributed packages in a week or so.
