require posters to use UTF-8, for example, so that all members of this
list can read the messages.
If you don't have Chinese fonts, you won't be able to see Chinese in
UTF-8 either. And if you can't read Chinese, why do you care anyway?

content-free.)
I couldn't read _your_ messages at all for a while, because the
simple-minded de-mimer in my news-reader (an slrn add-on) wasn't
correctly rendering your complexly structured messages.
I fixed it, I didn't ask you to use simpler messages!
(And yes, there are reasons why I don't use XEmacs/Gnus...mostly laziness,
and the irritation induced by the writing style of the Gnus manual.)
