I have tried this a bunch of times. Unfortunately cygwin has changed
so that the netinstaller no longer compiles. I spent some time trying
to figure out why, but gave up in the end. In theory you just run the
windows build script, but the cygwin lossage means that this no longer
works. Someone needs to take the time and fix the breakage.
we should ideally adopt a solution using installshield or some other
package that's specifically designed for general installation, not just
for cygwin's own purposes.
what does gnu emacs do? i thought they had a graphical installer.
and surely there must be open source equivalents of installshield by now?
