just did a netstat while doing a cvs update and i get this
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address (state)
tcp4 0 0 ulthwe.3088 sunsite.dk.cvspserver ESTABLISHED
so try asking your admin's to enable 2401 and 3088 and see if that helps
