"We" ain't the problem. If you'll recall, this thread restarted
because Debian tries to pretend that Xaw3d's lies are truth.
I don't see Linux vendors giving up the practice of dynamic linking; I
don't see Linux user/admins giving up the practice of borrowing
binaries built in distro X environment to use in a half-baked distro Y
environment. Or building themselves in the half-baked Y environment.
It wouldn't matter, really, except that "we" get the bug reports.
