Yes, most work is on Intel because that's what the main implementers
have. The sparc port has almost everything the Intel version has
except for generational GC and the multithreading. Lack of people
knowledgeable with other architectures and access to them prevents
CMUCL for going farther. Besides, my 300MHz Pentium II recompiles
CMUCL faster than my 300 MHz Ultra 30.
