now its having a problem with tar :(
i checked the docs for my version of tar and there doesnt seem to be a
--owner or --group equivilent (i am assuming they set uid and gid)
error bit from compile
tar --exclude 'CVS' --exclude 'RCS' --exclude 'SCCS' --exclude
'*~' --exclude '*.orig' --exclude '*.rej' --exclude '.#*'
--create --owner=0 --group=0 --file
/Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/../xemacs-packages/build-1.05-pkg.tar \
`cat pkginfo/MANIFEST.build`)
tar: unrecognized option `--owner=0'
tar: Unknown option. Use 'tar --help' for a complete list of options.
gmake: *** [/Data/Hacking/src/xemacs/packages/../xemacs-packages/build-1.05-pkg.tar] Error
