That's a mild way of putting it. My notes from that attempt say
"Leaks like a piece of string" ;-) The investigation I did seemed to
indicate that the incidence of false positives on the stack was rather
high
Was ALL_INTERIOR_POINTERS turned off? (If it wasn't, I'd expect to see
lots of leakage).

Cool. I might tinker with this again if I have time.
Too late :) the integration doesn't seem to be very difficult (not
*that* much of XEmacs has changed in the interim); before the cold
struck I was about 30% of the way through it. I expect to finish it off
this weekend.
