And, of course, it *is* the source of Ville's problem: As Ville
specified the GNU layout default, configure doesn't even know he's set
it, and promptly goes and resets it to the default. (Anything *but*
/usr/share works.)
Is there a way to definitely check whether a given option was present on
the configure command line or not? Malcolm? Jerry?
