I am pretty sure that I haven't used GNU binutils for at least year or more. However, the version of gcc I might have been using may have built by someone else (enough vagueness yet?), and sometimes he uses binutils. I do remember building my own version without at some point. Maybe that's when the problems were fixed? Ray
