I have been seeing exactly the same crash with the same lisp
backtrace since 21.5.b10 was updated to repair the buffer-tabs and
toolbar redraw problems. I am running on MAC OS X 10.2.4 (same
results on 10.2.3). Yours is the first report I have seen on
another system. I compiled with gcc 3.1. Search the archives for a
few crash reports.
i use gcc 3.2 at work, and 2.95 at home, both xemacs go boom
Note that if I configure --with-dialogs=no, then I don't see the
crash which would also occur when I openned and closed any frame.

i tried
| % xemacs -vanilla
| C-x 5 2
|
| kill the new frame using the window manager (no C-x 5 0, but
| i tested this and this also, go guess, boom) and xemacs went boom
here are the bactraces...
