Dear Bug Team!
When trying to switch buffers using the buffer tabs, I get an "Invalid
function: nil" error message in the minibuffer after clicking on the tab. The
buffer I want to switch to is not displayed, but I can still get to it via
e.g. M-x switch-to-buffer.
Even worse, sometimes I get that "illegal callback: ..." error message which is
listed in the "Recent messages" section below. I presume that it could be
somewhat related to read-passwd and its corresponding X actions like grabbing
the keyboard and displaying in reverse video while entering the password. This
is because I've only seen these errors after I've executed a command that
required entering a password (e.g. like "klog" for AFS).
It's also worth noting that the errors don't occur immediately after running
such a command and then trying to switch buffers via the tabs. Usually this
works fine several times before such an error is displayed.
Sorry for not being more specific here, but unfortunately I've found no way
so far to reproduce this by following the same sequence of actions/commands.
Hopefully this provides enough information to debug things.
