I recently made a change to verify-visited-file-modtime; maybe that
change fixes this problem. Could you please try out the current
release from
sf.net/projects/tramp?
I'm not very familiar with the XEmacs packaging process (even though
I happen to be the maintainer for the Tramp package -- go figure), so
I don't know when the new version will appear as an XEmacs package.
