Dima,
Did your regular build need to recompile the lisp files? I'm trying
to compare to my situation. I can build from a tarball where the lisp
files come precompiled, but I can't from CVS where there is only the
source. I seem the same hang as you in any tree checked out from
CVS.
It seems that the "Compiling auto-autoloads.el..." problem is not
related to gtk, rather to the latest sources in cvs common to gtk and
non-gtk. I updated from cvs today, and now I have the same problem in
my regular build (and I did a make realclean before the build, so it
did have to recompile lisp files I think).
Anybody knows how to fix this? Advice would be appreciated.
thanks,
david
