Well, it's not like the computer explodes if the automatic tests fail.
If they do, the user can always use the configure option and if they
don't, they usually find a sane location.
But weren't you, at the beginning of this thread, noting that the
computer indeed did explode for you? :-) (Or, rather, the software
equivalent of it.)
