xemacs-gtk-gnome crashes in file select dialog

When I invoke the Open button, and double-click on the folders, the second folder I pick crashes xemacs-gtk-gnome. 1) new xemacs-gtk-gnome 2) Toolbar->Open --> dialog opens 3) scroll down, double click in left-hand side on "Writings" folder 4) double-click on "latex" folder --> crash It's been happening with recent mandrake rpm's.
