Do this instead of your previous one that initialized handler to Qnil? Bad news though. The 100% repeatable case I had yesterday isn't today. I ran the case several times yesterday and it crashed. Now it doesn't. Yuck. I had to modify the file I was using (real work you know), and now it's not repeatable. However, if this is close to the solution, then it should solve some of the problems I've been having. Ray
