FWIW, I checked out rev 5835:e24390bd4235, which is the version just before
Jerry James "Fix gnuserv file descriptor leak.". I don't have problems
with gnuclient anymore.
Also, checking out 1044acf60048 (which reverted part of Jerry's change)
also works. I don't understand why tip doesn't work though.
But for what I need (a working gnuclient), 1044acf60048 is good enough for
now.
