However I tested icewm and it is the same over there. The Xserver
seems to be the same I used before the upgrade, so I am confused,
frankly.
Is it the same XEmacs?
In your position, the first think I would try would be to apply the patch
from the recent “[AC21.5R21.4] AltGr/iso-level3-shift not defined/I-search
breakage” thread, rebuild, and see if the problem is still there.
