Although I'm not particularly active I think I can speak for the XEmacs
Project that there are no plans like that. No plans at all really. I'm sad to
say but I'm afraid that there is not much development of XEmacs and that
situation has been so for many years now.
This is essentially true. I will do some work on XEmacs for the foreseeable
future, and some of that work will involve improving the GTK support. I have
an exam at the end of the month and then a massive legal personal issue to
sort out, so I won’t be around much, and then after that I will only be able
to put about a quarter of a full-time-equivalent of work in.
