I wonder if we should likewise change c-help-address temporarily during the XEmacs beta phase? Especially since I can't reproduce your problem under XEmacs 20.4 with our working version of CC Mode. I can't see why a string as the first arg would make the difference. What does C-c C-s on the continuation lines?
