Thanks for the pointers.
I will spend some more time playing with package-get, but I do note
that IT requires efs, which is not in the base. Sigh. And, now that I
have efs installed, I still don't seem to have any luck with
get-package. I seem to get no response or get an error that the
package is unavailable with verion nil. This happens either from the
command line or by entering the lisp command in the scratch buffer. If
I have to log into the ftp site to get the version number before
loading the package, I might as well just get the package.
Also, I'm still in search of sort-subr. I loaded xemacs-base right
away, but no sort-subr. It is used by Gnus to process message headers,
but so far, no good on getting it to work in 21.0 or to find the
fabled sort-subr.
Finally, how do I go about getting access to the tpu package (which is
really tpu-edt).
You may be happy to know that I'll be in class this week, so I won't
have much response for a while. :-) Probably for the best since I have
had done little work on 21.0 and mostly made (hopefully constructive)
critical comments.
