can't compile xemacs21.5.28

Hello On Kubuntu I try to compile xemacs 21.5 However when running configure ./configure --with-mule --with-xim --with-xfs --with-xim I obtain an error message which I don't understand. checking for Berkeley db.h... no *** PANIC *** The C compiler can no longer build working executables. *** PANIC *** Please examine the tail of config.log for runtime errors. *** PANIC *** The most likely reason for this problem is that configure *** PANIC *** links with shared libraries, but those libraries cannot be *** PANIC *** found at run time. I examined the tail of config.log but can't find which libraries are missing. Any idea?
