I wanted to install the same version on win7 that I have
on Slackware64, but I cannot find a 21.5.32 for windows.
I found garbanzo: 21.5.29. Is that the latest version
available for Windows?
It may be. We don't promise installers anymore, they depend on ad hoc
volunteers. Vin Shelton has been doing it, but I don't know whether
he's done more recent ones (it looks like there's a 21.5.31 at
ftp://ftp.xemacs.org/xemacs/binaries/win32/InnoSetup/XEmacs_Setup_21.5.31...)
or where they're advertised.
Do I install that and patch it?
It's not possible to patch a built XEmacs.
Or is it necessary to install from source on to get there?
It seems so. The Cygwin distribution seems to only be up to 21.5.28,
and our native build is only up to 21.5.31.
On the website, they list windows versions up to Vista.
I didn't see a reference to Win 7.
Maybe somebody else can answer. The only place I currently use XEmacs
on Windows is an XP box.
Once I find a 21.5.32 for Windows, do I just check that version for
an INSTALL file to see if XEmacs works in win 7?
If there has been an update, the place to look would be nt/INSTALL,
not ./INSTALL.
