tramp blowed up

I don't know what I typo'ed to make xemacs think it should load tramp, but now every time I type "?" at find-file to display a file name completion, I get "symbol's value as variable is void: with-parsed- tramp-file-name" when it tries to load-library tramp. Ironically, the FAQ I found that told me to do tramp-unload-tramp gets the same error. So I guess I get to restart xemacs now. But if someone could tell me how to ensure that tramp never gets loaded again, that would be nice.
