I've looked in the latest version of xemacs-packages from CVS and it appears
XEmacs is using an old version of JDE, 2.1.9. The current version is 2.2.6 and
has major improvements over the old one. However it appears there are some
portability problems with 2.2.6 on XEmacs, that could be fixed using some
patches posted on the JDE mailing list by various people. Thus I expect the
next version of JDE 2.2.7 to have better support for XEmacs. Should we care to
update the JDE package once this version is out?
The reason I'm asking is because the XSLT-process mode depends on some
functionality implemented in the 2.2.x version of beanshell.el. We could either
update this file only and keep the rest of JDE unmodified, or update JDE
entirely. The later may not be too stable though as JDE is still work in
progress.
Any thoughts?
