toolbar icons background quirk

(insert (emacs-version)) XEmacs 21.5 (beta4) "bamboo" [Lucid] (i586-pc-linux) of Fri Feb 1 2002 on boffi95) from my .Xdefaults: Emacs*Background: BlanchedAlmond Emacs*backgroundToolBarColor: forestgreen what happens that puzzles me? the toolbar icons in the default toolbar are drawn with a Blanched Almond bg amid a forest green toolbar, while, e.g., gnus and info (two packages that use their own toolbar) both happily draw the icons bg in forest green, that imho is the correct behaviour
