Tabs appear to have hosed gnuclient

If I start up a gnuclient -nw, I get a window, but it doesn't accept any input from me. If I start a second gnuclient -nw, that one works. The original XEmacs frame pops up a buffer like this after the first gnuclient: (5) (error/warning) Error in process filter: (error Image instantiator format is invalid in this locale. [tab-control :descriptor Buffers :face default :properties (:items ([*scratch* (buffers-tab-switch-to-buffer *scratch*)]))]) (I don't to tabs). This is in XEmacs 21.2 (beta19) "Shinjuku" [Lucid] (i586-pc-linux) of Fri Aug 27 1999 on ltrpluim Robert -- The above are my opinions, and my opinions only.
