These functions appeared in X11R6 which, IIRC, first shipped in Solaris 2.6.
If people are still using 2.5 then there is probably good reasons why they
can't upgrade (that was the case at my PPOE), so why not use the much more
polite message:
Copying more than N bytes of data requires X11R6.
