There may be anomolies here; I don't think any of the people working
on the Xft stuff use Motif.
I'm not sure if I've so much as popped up a dialog box in 21.5, so
the Motif stuff won't be doing terribly much.
I'll rebuild with Athena support anyway and see if the problem goes away.
