Just pulled from CVS. Tried building XEmacs on Win2k SP3 with Visual
Studio 6.0 SP5 and the latest MS Platform SDK. After installing the
appropriate Win32 versions of the auxillary libs and trying to build
XEmacs with nmake I get the following:
---8<--- cut here ---8<---
C:\...>nmake install -f xemacs.mak
Microsoft (R) Program Maintenance Utility Version 6.00.8168.0

WARNING: Compiling without dependency information.

Settings\crippenj\xemacs\xemacs-cvs\nt\..\lib-src\config.values
xemacs.mak(1446): fatal error U1087: cannot have : and :: dependents for same target
Stop.
---8<--- cut here ---8<---
I should note that I'm trying to get MULE compiled in, and am not
including X support. Have Cygwin installed but I'm not using it to
run nmake so it shouldn't matter.
Has anyone else seen this? Or is there something wrong with my
environment?
I can include the contents of my config.inc if necessary.
OT: Has anyone experimented with replacing the VS6.0 crappy text
editor with XEmacs? Microsoft's idea of a good text editor is barely
one step up from Notepad... Ugh.
Thanks
