Please keep us up to date on anything to do with process
management that you find out. I'm experiencing some weirdness
with git or hg subprocesses in vc, myself.

Actually, it the executable does build and it works better than gnutls
in the sense that I don't get errors about the TLS packet. However, I
do still get an error. It's caused by the delete-process at the end
of smtpmail-via-smtp in smtpmail.el. The error says it the process
can't be killed. I think the process may have already been exited.
In any case, the mail is sent, but gnus thinks the mail has not been.
Maybe I can just ignore the failure from delete-process.
