Eric,
I understand if you want to use another editor, but I glanced at your bug
report and it seems that the only error is because the python-mode menu
specifies:help tags in their menu. (I assume this is an FSFmacs tag that
gives you tooltips; not sure.) I think you could just remove the help tags
(and their values) from the menu, and that error should go away, along with
the menu tooltips. So far as I know, there is no way to have tooltips on
menu items in Xemacs.
I know Andreas said that this is just the tip of the iceberg of
incompatibility, so you may not want to mess with it. On the other hand,
who's to say how hard the fix will be until someone tries it? :)
Sincerely,
Byrel

These bugs are severe enough that they keep me from using the navigation
features that have been added in my attempts to create a more accessible
Emacs.
Unfortunately, I need to get work done so that means go find another
editor. I
really regret because I was looking to help out. I may still do so after I
get
set up with a new editor.
I really appreciate the help all of you have given me and I'll probably be
back
as I can't stay away from Emacs. :-)
