I am seeing crashes on alphaev56-dec-osf4.0e as well. People who have
hacked on the C code for Polyhymnia, please check your code for 64-bit
bugs. Unfortunately, this mostly means ME. I suspect I've introduced
the crash. Fortunately, I can reproduce it, so that I have a good
chance of finding the problem.
