New version of savehist
Here is the next version of savehist, after no less than eight years.
New features:
- autosaving of histories
- reliable handling of non-printable items in variables
- attempt to use a re-readable coding system under Mule (minibuffer
histories can easily contain characters other than those handlable
by the user's language environment), with the possibility of
affecting the coding system used.
