tramp broken

I had been using the previous version of tramp OK with Value: "21.1 (patch 14) \"Cuyahoga Valley\" XEmacs Lucid" Since the last update I get an error with this: "/[sudm/root(a)localhost]/etc/amanda/adg/amanda.conf" Every time I edit the file and try to save with C-xC-s, I get: Wrong type argument: number-char-or-marker-p, nil tramp: True name of `/[sudm/root(a)localhost]/etc/amanda/adg/amanda.conf' is `/etc/amanda/adg/amanda.conf' tramp: Check /etc/amanda/adg/amanda.conf tramp: Check /etc/amanda/adg tramp: Check /etc/amanda tramp: Check /etc Then I try with C-x C-w and there is no error.
