problem with custom.el file options not being noticed

hi all got an interesting problem i have been playing arround with my custom.el file i decided to start from scratch with 21.4.1 so i moved my old .xemacs directory then i thought i would use the sample init.el file (thanks for wrighting this one ben) i then coppied a whole bunch of options from my old custom.el file to the new one now some of my options are not being recognised build package ones so far are all i have noticed so far havent checked all of them any idea what is causing this ?? did i do the wrong thing in copying from my old file ?? thanks in advance -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peter Brown Web Programmer/Sys Admin/Apache Admin Education Development Web peter(a)edw.com.au www.edw.com.au rendhalver(a)users.sourceforge.net -------------------------------------------------------------------------
