Ok, thanks. I've successfully applied this one, too. The error is
different now whereas the behaviour is still identical:
:-( . Can it be that your font-lock.el (in the XEmacs core lisp) is
corrupted? If you download it from:
http://cvs.xemacs.org/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/XEmacs/xemacs/lisp/font-lock...
and load it in your XEmacs, does that improve things?
