Because of this 21.5.8 is unusable for me at the moment. Latin-unity
is
installed and up-to-date.

I also forgot to mention, that language-environment is set to german,
setting it to ISO-8859-1 doesn't make a difference, the problems occur
as described also if I say xemacs --vanilla.
