xemacs 21.4 crash

The system i have xemacs runnnig is a stock SuSE9.0 The xemacs is part of there distribution Emacs 21.4 (patch 13) "Rational FORTRAN" [Lucid] (i386-suse-linux, Mule) of Tue Sep 23 2003 on E180 The crash is actualy hard to reproduce and occurs normaly in the first minutes of action. I was unable the create the problem in the debugger nor could i create a core dump. it help to connect to a remote box and start xemacs there. 1. load file like: $ xemacs auftrag.tex 2. click on "buffers" a requester appears to ask for a masterfile ! (NOTE: yep totaly wrong requester !!!) 3. select "cancel" *crash* Lisp backtrace follows: # (condition-case ... . error) # (catch top-level ...) [1]+ Speicherzugriffsfehler xemacs auftrag.tex Sometimes on requester comes up inteas the minibuffer in the last line is open. canceling the request here and the buffer pulldown appears but cant be used. the puldown disapears if an other menu is selected. no crash. hope that helps walter
