I’m not seeing this or anything like it on 10.4.11; I am very lazy about
keeping my MacPorts X11 up to date, but I have applied the Apple updates.
You mention the tip version especially in the bug report; can you see this
with earlier versions?
I do not see it on 10.5.6 (ppc G5) running X11.app with /usr/X11/lib
libraries and those in /usr/lib (no X11 for macports). I wonder whether
the problem is the macports versions of X11? The latest libraries on
macosforge from unofficial Apple sources are from Jeremy Huddleston who
also maintains the ports.
I use XQuartz 2.4.0_alpha2 (xorg-server 1.5.3-apple2)
